Rachel Adams, EMT, The Rescuer Needs Rescuing

Description: The wail of sirens cut through the night as emt rachel adams pulled up to the scene not knowing what to expect, her heart steady despite the chaos she had come to expect in her line of work. she was used to panic, to pain—but not to the pure venom in the eyes of the man waiting for her.   rachel was met with an open door, but with no one holding it to tell her what the problem was. she spoke up and asked if there was anyone there who called for help. she heard a man’s voice “over here” from the other room. she entered and stated "let's get you checked out," she said, reaching for her kit. but before she could so much as lift her stethoscope, he swatted it away and grabbed her, his big hands covering here mouth so she couldn’t cry out.   rachel soon found herself tied hand and foot and gagged as well. what was it all about? why? she was able to loosen the gag and ask him as he left the room. she was never in a situation like this before in her life, but no matter how mean or cruel, no matter how undeserving, she was a professional and had a job to do. she got the gag out and yelled as he left, “i was only here to help you!”   now that’s a public servant.
