Vonka - Gagged Co-Counsel

Description: Zahn and his co-counsel, vonka, have been trying a case in which their client is accused of capturing, tying, and gagging a woman. records show that at one point, a police officer stopped by their client’s house while searching for the woman. she testified that she was aware of the officer being close by but claimed that she could cry out because she was gagged with a cloth between her teeth. zahn knows such a gag wouldn’t keep someone from crying out and also vonka has been making mistakes during the trial, so he decides to have her help him with a gag demonstration. she thinks binding her so securely to a chair is a little excessive but he says it will make for a better demonstration before joining the video conference for the trial. he grabs a white cloth and ties it tightly between vonka’s teeth, just like the victim claimed to be gagged, and vonka is able to speak almost completely clearly. that is probably enough, but zahn’s firm likes to go the extra mile, so he says they’re going to try more effective gags to show even those don’t silence people completely. he crams a big red bandana in vonka’s mouth and ties the cloth between her teeth again. she’s definitely more muffled but still pretty loud. vonka suggests they stop there but zahn thinks they should do a few more. he fills her mouth with 4 women’s hankies, sealing them in with 9 strips of silver duct tape. that’s even more muffling but far from a mute button. finally, zahn packs vonka’s protesting mouth with a big sponge and wraps silver duct tape around her head. he briefly pulls her shirt down and tickles her to give her real motivation to make noise, which she shows she’s still plenty capable of. satisfied with the demonstration, zahn asks for a multi-hour recess. instead of untying vonka immediately, he tells her he’s going to leave her like this for a while longer as punishment for poor trial performance so far. the storyline part of the clip ends at around 25:20 and the rest is behind the scenes footage showing the removal of vonka’s last gag.
