Description: Lia, viktoria, and kiara are enjoying a day at the indoor pool when lia and viktoria step away, leaving kiara alone. clumsy kiara slips back into the water, disoriented and uncoordinated, she struggles to stay afloat. when the others return, the women quickly pull kiara from the water and call an ambulance. paramedics arrive quickly and begin emergency resuscitation procedures, clearing water from her lungs before starting cpr and assisted ventilation. kiara is connected to a heart monitor while the team continues chest compressions, ambu-bagging, and repeated rounds of defib attempts. when initial efforts fail, the medics intubate her and continue multiple rounds of cpr and defib. after an extended resus effort, kiara’s pulse finally returns to normal rhythm. still unable to speak because of the breathing tube, she is nevertheless awaren as the medical team reassures her as her relieved friends look on.
