Me and my friend trying to go to the beach

Description: I was getting ready to go to the beach with my friend, both of us in bikinis and flip flops, when she handed me the keys to my **chevrolet opala** and warned me it had not been started for weeks. i got in and started pumping the gas pedal over and over before trying to start it. the car kept teasing me with false starts, running rough and stalling again. my friend came back and after a while she managed to start it, but as soon as we tried leaving the driveway the opala stalled again. we fought with it a bit more, revving and pumping the pedal, but it just would not cooperate. so we decided to try my **ford** instead. while i went inside for a minute, she started trying to get the ford running, pumping the pedal and dealing with the same thing… false starts, rough running, and stalls. when i came back, we kept taking turns trying to start it, pumping the gas pedal again and again, but the car kept teasing us. eventually we got it to start for a short moment, but it stalled once more. after all that trouble with both cars, we just looked at each other and laughed… and decided maybe today was not the day to go to the beach.
