Description:  deciding to take a walk by the lake, elizabeth put on her flip-flops, but didn't notice that the road had become extremely muddy after the prolonged rains. her flip-flops kept sinking into the swamp, getting stuck, and she struggled to get them out. eventually, one of them broke, leaving her feet muddy and sticky.
