Cold Start in Different Shoes

Description: I slide into the driver’s seat and the camera follows only my feet as the story begins. i am wearing my havaianas, tapping them lightly against the floor as i get comfortable and reach for the key. before starting, i slowly slip the havaianas off and replace them with my high heel mules, letting my foot settle perfectly on the pedal as i prepare for the challenge ahead. i start with the opala, confident but already expecting a fight. i turn the key and begin pumping the pedal, feeling the engine trying to respond but never fully coming to life. i keep trying, adjusting my rhythm, pressing faster, deeper, refusing to give up. the opala teases me with small signs, but nothing enough to make it run. after struggling for a while, i step out and move to the ford, hoping for a better outcome. as soon as i sit inside, i change my shoes again, slipping out of the mules and putting my havaianas back on. i settle my foot on the pedal and begin pumping while turning the key, determined to make it start. minutes pass and i keep trying, pumping again and again, listening carefully for any sign that the engine will respond. i push harder, change my timing, and refuse to surrender easily… but the ford remains silent and stubborn. after almost ten exhausting minutes of trying, i finally give up. i step out of the car, defeated for now, leaving both cars exactly where they are… quiet, still, and unconquered.
