Running Late With a Stubborn Engine - PIP

Description: Today was one of those days when everything seemed to work against me. i jumped into the opala in a hurry because i still had a few errands to run before picking up my son from school. the moment i closed the door i already felt the pressure of time… and of course, the opala decided not to help. i turned the key once, twice, three times, and nothing. the engine only teased me, giving a hint of life and dying right after. i kept pumping the gas over and over, trying to find that sweet spot, listening to the engine sputter and struggle, almost starting… but not enough. with every try i felt my heartbeat racing with my foot, until it finally came to life and i could pull away. i drove just a little until my first stop. when i got back into the car, the whole story repeated itself. i sat down, took a deep breath, turned the key… and again the opala refused to cooperate. i pumped the pedal fast and hard, then held it down, then pumped again, and the engine just kept fighting me. after a long struggle it finally started and i continued my route. by the time i reached the next stop i was already mentally exhausted, and when i got back behind the wheel things got even worse. the battery started getting weak while i kept trying, begging the car to start, feeling each crank get slower and heavier. i knew that if it did not catch soon, i would be stuck there with no way to leave. but after several long attempts, a lot of patience, and a lot of footwork on the pedal, the engine finally came back to life. that was when i decided it was better to end the day and go home before the opala left me stranded for real. it was a fight… but i always find a way.
