Taped Countdown

Description: Rubi approaches nyra, bound tightly with red ropes, her face taped with only her nose exposed. red has always been rubi’s color. with her long fingers, she pinches and plays with nyra’s nose, pushing it up and down, testing how long nyra can endure as she slowly counts. nyra’s bare feet tense and squeeze with every struggle, but rubi only smiles—this is just her way of training nyra for something darker. when she leaves, nyra is still tied, still taped… and rubi promises she will return.
