Description: In this clip, kora plays a young shoplifter who has been found guilty of shoplifting from a local big box store. lucky for kora this is just a misdemeanor and she's not going away to prison for years and years over it... yet. she is getting a pretty big slap on the wrist though. 90 days in the county jail to be exact. however in an attempt to keep her from becoming a regular in the corrections system, the judge has decided to sentence her in a way that allows her to maintain her life while still experiencing some proper jail time, and so kora is now officially a weekend prisoner.at 7pm on friday night (every friday night) kora will get off work and report straight to jail. she will be trading in all her clothes for a black and white striped prisoners uniform, and she will have all the comforts a jail cell offers until monday morning. commissary is not offered for saturday and sunday, nor are any of the library services, and this jail keeps everyone on lockdown over weekends. for entertainment kora will have 3 walls and some cell bars to stare at. to make things a little more uncomfortable for the inmates or 'for added security' depending on who is asked, the inmates are also kept barefoot and shackled in their cells at all times. hopefully kora learns her lesson and doesn't end up back in here for a much longer and continuous stay.in the clip here, we see the shadow of the door slide open and kora steps into the cell carrying her blue prison mattress. she tosses it down in frustration, her hands are cuffed in front of her and her feet are shackled. she sits down, and seems to be full of complaints and frustration around her situation. 5 minutes pass and the guard comes to take the handcuffs off. the shackles are staying on for the full visit of course. kora seems to be happy to have her hands free and stretches out a bit. she bends her body and reaches her arms out, then she decides to lay down with her feet facing out towards the bars (and the camera). kora sure likes to talk to herself. she's all alone and it's pretty quiet in this end of the cell block, though there is constant noise echoing down the halls in here. she's only been locked up for a few minutes but already she feels the boredom consuming her mind. she wiggles her toes and taps the wall while she talks herself through the experience.about 15 minutes after getting locked up it's time for her first dinner served in a jail cell. today's menu consists of some kind of yellow rice pilaf with onions and carrots, a slice of bread that seems to have been sitting out overnight, an apple, and some mysterious brown soupy thing that smells a bit like eggs. kora spends about 25 minutes examining it, picking it over, and eventually resolving to eat most of it except for the brown whatever it is, which she tries and gags from. she really savors the apple. i have never seen kora spend 6 entire minutes just eating an apple, but it was probably the highlight of her evening here. she makes sure to savor every bite. she lays down and curls up on the mattress but soon she gets bored, and since that tray is the only source of dopamine she's getting, she finishes the rest of the flavorless yellow rice dish. with dinner finished, at least the edible portion of it, she rolls around a bit on her mat while pushing her feet up against the wall and testing the limits of her chains. she gets up and decides to count the bricks on the wall, then measures her own height in bricks.the jail is quite cold,
