Description: I had spent the whole day with my feet stuck inside my shoes. it was hot, and i could feel the sweat building up in there since the morning. i sat down on a bench in the shade and slowly took off my shoes. it felt so good to feel the air touch my feet, they were warm, damp, releasing that strong, unmistakable smell. my socks were completely soaked, stuck to my skin. as soon as i took them off, the smell hit me immediately. i looked at my feet and knew right away that athlete’s foot was back again. the skin between my toes, especially the left one, was white, soft, and peeling. the itch started right after. i tried to ignore it. picked up my book, tried to focus, but it was impossible. the tingling between my toes was intense.
